Auto Body FAQs
My leather interior is looking faded and looks like it’s going to crack, what should I do?
If your leather looks sun baked, it’s probably drying out and in dire need of moisture. There are many products available that will not only restore the like-new luster to your leather interior, but also protect it from further sun damage. It’s important not to simply wash leather, because water will only dry it out more when it evaporates, leather needs oils to retain moisture, and that’s what those products will give it.
My brake pedal vibrates when I am braking hard, what is going on?
The most likely causes of brake vibrations are a warped rotor or improperly calibrated calipers. In either case, it’s imperative that you get your car to a mechanic as soon as possible. Either situation can become expensive if the problem is not resolved quickly. Lightly warped rotors can be turned and reused, but the longer you drive on them, the less likely they will be able to salvage them. Improperly set calipers can scratch the surface of your rotor, ruining its stopping power.
I’m looking for a spot free finish to my carwash, what can I use?
Your two best options are auto wax or a no touch wash finisher. Auto wax forms a protective water repellent barrier that will keep your car looking shiny and new between washes. It can be time consuming to apply and buff, so if you are in a hurry a spot free wash finish will let you spray down your car and leave it to air dry with no spots.
